From reader ’sxychryss’:
I am interested in purchasing a teeth whitener, but there are SO MUCH that I don’t know which one to choose from. I don’t want to purchase a product that whitens my teeth @ first and then damages it later down the road. Which teeth whiteners would you recommend?
What are the best teeth whiteners out there?

I’ve used the crest whitestrips – they’re kind of a pain to use, but they seemed to work really well – other ppl really noticed a difference.
Teeth whiteners! Crest strips work well but are expensive. Good old baking soda works really well and its cheap. Try it you will see a huge difference in just a few brushings. Good Luck Cocoa
I’ve been researching Rembrandt 2 Hour whitening. Apparently, it works amazingly well, except if you have sensitive gums or teeth you can get very bad side effects. I am torn because it is inexpensive, fast, works well, yet the few bad reviews are scaring me a little, even though there are more good ones than bad.
Crest Whitestrips are, hands down, the best teeth whitener out there. You can actually tell a difference with each session! Each package also comes with a small brochure explaining the process that is used to whiten your teeth. They use peroxide because it is a natural whitener(even on hair) and it will shine up your teeth without dissolving your enamel.
I have REALLY sensitive teeth, but the white strips don’t really seem to bother them that much. I can’t do the two sessions a day like it recommends, but just one white strip every morning is still doing an amazing job!
I’ve tried several other brands, but they just don’t work as well.
A few years ago, I tried crest white strips, and they really did work. I flossed everyday, and stayed away from coffee, and cigarettes, and even years down the road people were *still* telling me how white my teeth were. Now I have braces… but as soon as they come off, I’m using those white strips again!
i like crest whitestrips but they kinda hurt my gums a lil.
they are on sale at cvs for 18.99 if u have a $5 coupon u could get it for like 13.99!!!
that’s a great deal
crest whitestrips for sure
ok… crest white strips are fine for temperary white but eventually it will eat up your tooth enamel.. but in order to keep those pearly whites white all the time i suggest you use listerine pre-rinse whitener, toothpaste with tarter control and whiteners and rinse with a long lasting mouthwash such as listerine or crest. i have been doing this for years without any tooth enamel damage and my teeth stay white allthe time
I’ve heard that using “bicarbonate of soda” with your tooth paste twice a week or so can whiten your teeth. one toothpaste had this in it and was sold more expensively because it had this cheap little ingredient in it. I tried it (a friend recommended it) and found it to work, took a little time like two weeks or so to work, but it’s cheap and doesn’t have any potentially harmful chemicals in it because you use it in baking. Good luck.
